Communicating with Pictures

This communication board is a type of aided Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Most of the symbols represent the words that are used most frequently in our daily language. It is important to provide lots of modeling for these words by touching the pictures while saying the words! Those that are learning to communicate with AAC will benefit from seeing their system being used by people around them communicating real messages in real situations.

Some form of AAC needs to be available everywhere for the user to be able to communicate. Communicating everywhere means communicating at home, at school, and here at GO Therapy! There is learning for everyone!
